Thanks to everyone who packed the house for our Grimes show on Tuesday! We definitely made some magic together. Watching Ms. Claire Boucher in action that evening, it was clear that she's the genuine article. A strange and wonderful kind of pop star: radiant, full of sass and glamour, yet entirely in her own off-kilter fashion. Her music is a sort of elaborate collage of the multitudinous material available to us in the internet age. And her stage presence...well....I keep wanting to refer to her as "squirrel Madonna", but I mean that with so much affection.
