This event is 21 and over

Join us for an evening of post-punk, kraut rock and dark wave from some of Portland's finest locals. Tonight wil be Darkswoon's music video release!

Shadowlands’ front-singer/keyboardist and lead song writer Amy Sabin tunes into DIY post punk now-urgency with pop finesse and bombast through a chorusey swirl, churn, and haze, of synths and words and guitars.
The beat is in 4/4 time and of moderate pace. The pattern is repeated each bar throughout the song. A splash or crash cymbal is often hit at the beginning bar of a verse or chorus.
Darkswoon is an electronic shoegaze band from Portland, OR, the primary musical outlet of Jana Cushman. The band performs live as a trio with Cushman on guitar and vocals, Rachel Ellis on keys and drum machines, and Andrew Michael Potter on bass.

The band started as a lofi bedroom music project in 2014 and saw light in 2015 with the release of 'Year One', Darkswoon's freshman EP. The 2016 release of 'Silhouettes' drew attention for individuality and creativity, with "wall of sound production" and noted as "an artist you'll want to watch" (Surviving the Golden Age). The EP marks an evolution from lofi to produced, drawing in post punk, psych rock and gothic influences.

Darkswoon's first full length album is nearing completion with an anticipated late 2018 release. The new batch of songs promises to be the most dance driven collection yet while maintaining the ethereal, emotive landscapes of past works.
