Holocene is available for private gatherings of all sorts, from weddings, receptions, and birthdays, to company parties, meetings, and photo and video shoots. The space can be rented any night of the week with a bit of advance notice, and often with much less notice Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and daytime hours.

Holocene hosts many fundraising and nonprofit events, and we’re happy to work with your budget.

If you’d like to bring a smaller group to Holocene — 10-50 or so — we’ll be happy to help set you up with your own space, and accommodate as many of your ideas as possible. (And yes – you’re welcome to bring a cake!)

Some Holocene facts & figures:

Capacity: 312 persons – less for more formal events, or up to 500 in an evening with comings and goings
Seating: approximately 100 in the standard configuration, or up to 200 with added tables and chairs
Size: 5000sf, including two main rooms of 2000sf and 1600sf (can be open to each other, or not), plus kitchen, dressing room, etc.
Parking: about 200 easy street spaces evenings and weekends, and closer to 50 weekdays (valet options, too)
Catering: we have great relationships with several of Portland’s most exciting caterers, or, bring your own
Audio/visual: state of the art sound systems in each main room, multiple video projectors, and many lighting options
Connectivity: broadband internet and WiFi from anywhere in the building
Entertainment: an incredible Rolodex of bands, DJs, artists, and entertainers, along with sound engineers, florists, etc.
