Holocene and Gold Casio Present: Black and Gold Mass, a multi-media music event to celebrate the release of Gold Casio's SINNERS EP.
The show will include projection visuals, a custom photo booth, some special surprises in the set, and more.

Fresh off the heels of the COSMIC DISCO RITUAL TOUR, a multi-show ceremonial act which included stops at SXSW and Treefort Music Fest, Portland/Brooklyn-based Gold Casio will release their sophomore EP, SINNERS. Conjured in the halls of a 19th century church, the work takes a darker tone than the band's debut, bringing the listener on a emotional journey of love and betrayal. It's also the first collection of songs to include all of the band's four members in it's formulation from start to finish. SINNERS EP is at once a mystery and an understanding, it's music for those who believe in Magic and Chaos thriving.

SINNERS EP is out April 20th on Freakout! Records. Catch the band's release show 4/18! FREE party!

WHEN ON HIGH, the Cosmic Mirror Ball first shot forth its multitude of exuberant lights throughout the Universe, came forth from the Chaos, Gold Casio.

Both instrument and entity, keyboard and cabal; A spectral synthesizer permutating all realms of existence, from Internet to Grave. A voice from the urban wilderness, calling out and drawing in; Into dingy basements and darkened dance clubs with visions of sweaty nights. Sweaty nights of ecstatic apparitions and psychedelic nightmares. But what came first, the Fever, or the Dream?

Heed little the human counterparts of Gold Casio, for they are but vessels, merely mechanisms through which the Disco Gods make known their final decree. Party Forever? "Amen!"

Relinquish the curtains of this reality, strip away the layers of meaninglessness until all that remains are Babes and Bass. Only then will you begin to understand.

AND should you choose to behold Gold Casio, Lo, know thine time has come. For no longer can your arms remain tightly across your chest, nor your feet remain steadfastly planted on the ground.

Possessed by sound and light, tonight you will get down. And you're probably going to spill your drink.
Sheers, an art pop duo fronted by Lily Breshears, coaxes listeners into otherworldly piano riffs and time feels with her memorable melodies and hip-hop grooves played by jazz drummer Grant Pierce. After years of being a backing musician for groups such as Haley Heynderickx and Big Haunt, Breshears sought to combine the thoughtful lyrics and emotional catharsis offered by those songs with the tension-laden music she plays as a classical harpist and pianist. "Depth," the single from Sheers' debut eponymous EP set to be released in September 2016, can be found on the 2016 PDX Pop Now! compilation.
