Chicago DJ and producer Mike Dunn can truly claim the ‘Legend’ title, helping shape the history of house music in North America. He has been performing for well over thirty years, hailing from Englewood in Chicago. Dunn was a heavy influence to the house music scene in the early 80s, performing live gigs with drum machines and Pioneer 707s and DJing around the city. His first release “Dance You Mutha” came in 1987 on Westbrook Records. More classic house and techno productions continued through the late 80s and early 90s on labels like Nervous, Nitestuff and Tribal America. Mike’s first complete album in 27 years, ‘My House, From All Angles’ was released in 2019 on Classic Records. In addition to big releases on Defected and Glitterbox, this year also sees the launch of Mike’s label Blackball Muzik as a new outlet for his music productions and curation. Mike continues to DJ throughout the world playing at clubs such as Panorama Bar, Concrete, Fabric and Sub Club, and festivals like Glastonbury and Electric Forest.
