Peach Tree Rascals started as best friends. Dominic Pizano, Joseph Barros, and Tarrek Abdel-Khaliq, and Issac Pech met in high school in San Jose, CA, and in 2017 began making music together in a 10×10 shed in Dom’s backyard—with no AC or heater and only stock plugins. From those humble beginnings, PTR learned to sing, write, produce, mix, and play instruments on all of their songs, aiming to be as in-house as possible to ensure independence and authenticity.
Now back in San Jose, PTR has made a massive impact. Their breakout single, “Mariposa,” went viral in 2020, peaking at number one on the Billboard Indie chart, earning three certified gold records and one RIAA platinum record. PTR has headlined sold out tours across the globe allowing them to perform at over 18 countries.
PTR’s members are majority second-generation immigrant Americans, Tarrek is Palestinian American, Jo is Filipino American, and Dom and Issac are Mexican American. Their music continues to honor their parents’ sacrifices while embracing a bright, collaborative future.
