Reviving historic folk music with an avant garde take. Her group most recently received recognition from NPR’s Bob Boilen and Jewly Hight in the Tiny Desk Competition this year. Where their song “ New Love” was featured as a finalist on an episode of TOP SHELF! Julia is from Portland Oregon and has received scholarships for her undergraduate and graduate music degrees from Portland State University. She is a second generation Korean American and the first in her family to receive a Master's Degree. Elementary Music Specialist by day, and songstress by night her music reaches all ears. She is a multi instrumentalist with classical studies in viola, piano, and is self taught on the guitar. June Magnolia consists of Alex Milsted (Berklee College of Music) on keys & vocals, Tim Sweeny (Berklee College of Music) on Bass, Devon Brown ( New Modern Warfare & House Party Fantasy) on Vibraphone & Guitar, and Sacha Müller (Dead Aunt Thelma’s Studio) on Drums. June Magnolia will be releasing their first album “Memory Palace” Spring 2022. BLAIR BORAX: Singer-songwriter Blair Borax sings sweet and honest songs about life and death and heartbreak, waking up and slowing down, and learning to live in a beautiful messy world. With rich lyrics, a voice like molasses, and joined by multi-instrumentalist James Villa and electric guitarist Mark Bowden, this honey-pop-folk trio makes music that moves you to the heart of being human, offers you a warm cup of tea, and invites you to stay a while. BRIGHT RAVEN: Bright Raven’s crystalline voice soars over her sophisticated and soulful songwriting. Compared often to Jeff Buckley and Joni Mitchell, Bright is truly lyrical, her warm sound like a golden backdrop for the captivating imagery of her words.
