Bienestar builds housing, hope, and community for the wellbeing of Latinxs, immigrants, and all families in need. Unable to join in person? The show will also be streaming on our Twitch and Youtube pages. Bienestar kindly requests a sliding scale donation at www.giveguide.org/nonprofits/bienestar to tune into the live stream. Edna Vazquez is a fearless singer, songwriter and guitarist whose powerful voice and musical talent embrujan and transcend the boundaries of language to engage and uplift her audience. She is a creative crisol with a vocal range that allows her to paint seamlessly with her original material, an intersection of folk, rock, pop and R&B. Edna’s passion for music and performance grew from her bicultural raices and, with songs deeply rooted in universal human emotion, she has traveled far and wide spreading her message of light, love and cultural healing. Barrio Mestizo believes that live music has the power to unite people in movement and sound. We employ a fusion of Latin music styles that deliver good vibes and joy. Hosted by Joquin Lopez: a performing artist, storyteller, and musician raised in Aloha, Oregon, whose work is committed to personal freedom, Latino queer identity, self-expression, and community transformation.
