Unseen Object is a Portland-based alternative rock band formed in 2022. Blending restless songwriting with a stripped, emotionally direct approach, Unseen Object’s sound draws from contemporary indie rock while staying loose, searching, and unvarnished. Their songs move between concrete detail and abstraction while grappling with grief, dislocation, and the impulse to keep going anyway. Their debut album, Life Is Long and Easy, which will be out via Bee Side Cassettes, was recorded in 2025 in a basement studio in Northeast Portland. The record carries a raw, live-tracked energy, prioritizing feel, interplay, and lyrical immediacy over polish. It leans on the elasticity and openness that define the indie rock tradition. Unseen Object has been building a local following in Portland through intimate live performances and DIY releases. The project is led by multi-instrumentalists David Alvarado, Kai Nealis, and Dylan Bodnarick.

Shanea is a singer songwriter based in Portland Oregon, whose writing spans the depths of indie folk to rock. They have captivated audiences in Portland with their live performances solo as well as with their band. They are able to move people with their heartfelt lyrics and catchy melodies. Their love for songwriting and dedication to the deeply personal makes their discography ever evolving. They released an EP “The Fifth House” in 2019 and released their single “Bathroom Floor” in 2020. They released their EP “Root Rot” in 2024 and their debut LP “Animal Instincts” in 2026.

Based out of Portland, Oreghon, the wild and zany funk/hop group Starz Of Da Bizzare are back.

Meezy Mr. 503. The members come from Los Angeles, Inglewood, Corpus Christi, Portland and Mexico.
The group has opened shows for Too Short, YG, E-40, DJ Quik, Erykah Badu, Devin The Dude and The Roots to name a few.
They were brought to MECAP by Tommy Henderson, former LaFace Records executive who also had been the road manager of Manchild, the first national group that Babyface was in. When Henderson moved to Portland, Oregon after living in Atlanta home of LaFace, he discovered this group.
They have had success with their singles, “The Crawlwalk” (which went Top 5 in the Chicago/Gary market), “‘Bout Tha Movement”, “Wayy Upp”, “Got Zang!” was a collaboration with one of their idols, George Clinton and members of Parliament/Funkadelic and the country hip hop/funk of “Yee Ha”, “Everything U Ask 4”, “Julie Maple” (which was their single with their group member Fly Trapper who passed away in his sleep from a heart attack), “Receipts”, “Bizzarian Show” and several group member have done solo projects while they were on hiatus, Dee Arthur a/k/a Funk Mouf did the album BLAKK EHGG and the single “All Night Long” which is all about his love for the human beat box and it featured his group members Epix & Kandy Wrappa. Epix has done two solo singles “We Came To Party” and “Body On Me” , both of which featured Meezy Mr. 503 and Kand Wrappa did a single with his fallen comrade Fly Trapper called “I Can’t Breathe”.
With their love for acts like OutKast, Bootsy, Midnight Star, Slave, The Ohio Players, Cameo and Cameo, it was a dream come to work with George Clinton and his grandson Tra’zae Clinton (who also produced “Got Zang!”).
