Laryssa’s ballads and pop anthems effortlessly tap into the universal psyche of women her age around the world who have all experienced heights and pitfalls in that rocky battlefield called love. But, Laryssa’s innate talent as a songwriter, accomplished vocalist and skilled instrumentalist prove she’s much more than just the latest incarnation of an eternally lovelorn female pop artist. She builds a depth into her songs and live performances inspired by soul and folk/roots influences, without taking herself too seriously while letting her decidedly wicked sense of humor shine. “Veiled in the sonic shroud of avant-pop’s murky soundscapes, Portland, Oregon experimental Duo Mordecai are forging an incendiary path. Comprised of guitarist/vocalist Andrew Alexander Endres and violinist Kate Kilbourne the band came together in early 2016, conspiring darkly sweet, beat-driven bangers that fold in R&B swagger, electro mysticism, and pop sensibility.” – Portland Mercury Reverbhunter is a collaboration between Portland-based producer and singer Chelsea Sue and the reflective spaces she inhabits. Performing everything herself on record, Shaylee comes alive in a live setting as a tight, dynamic power trio, eschewing the grandiose arrangements of her recorded output in exchange for lean, mean, and energetic rock’n’roll. Toeing the line between power pop, post-rock, and psych-rock, Shaylee’s music feels immediately familiar yet totally unique, scratching many an itch for avid fanatics of guitar music with a distinctly queer edge. The Apricots are an emerging Portland project serving their own sweet, glossy sounds that are hard to pin down. Their music is influenced from all directions, from indie rock to alternative funk while finding their center in sweet-like-honey vocal harmonies. Topped off with melodic bass and driving percussion, The Apricots want to you tearing up one minute and dancing the next.

After a series of independent releases, the vision crystallized on 2019’s Lemonhead EP. It brought his total stream tally to over 100 million by the end of the year. In between sharing the stage with The Neighbourhood, The Regrettes, Lennon Stella, Kid Bloom further honed his sonic palette on the 2020 Blood Sugar EP, steeped in influences as varied as Tame Impala, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, and David Bowie. In a fractured and challenging year, Kid Bloom established his own unique musical domain – neon production, hip-hop beat-work, and psychedelic guitar emissions revolving around confessional lyrics flowing with unfiltered honesty. Lennon has written and produced for prolific artists including Maroon 5, H.E.R., and close friend and collaborator, Jesse Rutherford. On the heels of his recent hit single “Have U Seen Her,” his debut album, Highway, is set to release this June.
