Charlie Burg – ALL AGES – w/ Genevieve Stokes
Where were you the first time you heard Charlie Burg’s Infinitely Tall? Or, rather — where will you be? What does that place mean to you? Hopefully it’s somewhere special. Infinitely Tall is about spaces — the ones that make, break, shape, and uplift us. The debut album marks a shift for the Metro Detroit, Michigan-born singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Across this album’s 15 songs, Charlie augments his bedrock of lo-fi soul and lush indie-pop with exciting new textures: the forward motion of driving post-punk, sparkling electronic abrasion, and the melodic grip of romantic 90s indie-rock. Burg, who plays nearly every instrument on the record, marries the golden-era perfectionism of his early music with an enticing new fondness for chaos. In the touring world, Charlie created a foundation for himself through supporting artists like Ashe, Moonchild, and Jeremy Zucker in 2019 across the US and Europe. He even traveled as far as Indonesia to play Jakarta’s renowned Java Jazz Festival. These strong beginnings led to sold out headline dates playing 500+ capacity major market rooms in Spring of 2022.Infinitely Tall is Charlie’s first music since 2020, and first body of work since 2019. Built from the ground up, it’s an ode to home that, hopefully, feels like a home for you — wherever you may be. On the heels of this new record, Charlie is gearing up for his first proper headline tour of the U.S. and Europe, followed shortly by major festival appearances coming in 2023. with support from Genevieve Stokes!VIP Meet and Greet Package tickets available! ella jane – the marginalia tour – Early show! – All Ages – w/ Alix Page
MEET AND GREET PACKAGE AVAILABLE! THIS INCLUDES:(1) GA Ticket (1) Signed Copy Of Exclusive marginalia Zine (1) Early Entry into the venue for an exclusive acoustic performance (1) 10 Minute Q&A Session (1) Meet & Greet For as long as she can remember, Ella Jane has been writing in the margins. Growing up, annotation was a way of understanding and processing the culture that surrounded her, a means of collecting words and stories that would become foundational to the songs she would write. Conversely, songwriting became a way of marking up the experiences in her own life, a process she’d often document and share in real-time with an ever-expanding online community.Having amassed a legion of fans and followers ahead of her freshman year at Tufts University, Ella entered one of the most exciting periods of her life confined to her dorm room as a result of the ongoing COVID pandemic. With an excess of time at her disposal, she spent much of the year fine-tuning a batch of songs that she had brought with her from high school, which would eventually become her debut project, THIS IS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE.The EP arrived the following summer via FADER Label, catching the ears of fans such as Elton John, who praised follow-up single “Calling Card,” saying “if there’s any justice in the world, it will be a big hit for Ella Jane… I really love it.” Sold-out shows in New York and Los Angeles soon followed, as did a cross-country tour with Peter McPoland and an appearance on Netflix’s Heartstopper soundtrack.Spurred by the momentum, she dropped out of college and moved to Brooklyn to give the music all of her time. The songs she wrote during this period radiate with the coming-of-age urgency of that moment, and all the identity-affirming head rushes that came with it. Teaming up with producer Mike Irish, they aimed to keep the pop sensibilities of her earlier work as well as steer them toward a grittier place more akin to the sound of her alt-rock heroes. They landed at Marginalia; a concise offering of her most propulsive and assertive material to date that establishes Ella Jane as a formidable storyteller all while nodding to the process that got her there.

The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house, but also incorporates elements from R&B, jungle and dance-pop. It is defined by percussive, shuffled rhythms with syncopated hi-hats, cymbals and snares, and may include either 4/4 house kick patterns or more irregular “2-step” rhythms. Garage tracks also commonly feature ‘chopped up’ and time-stretched or pitch-shifted vocal samples complementing the underlying rhythmic structure at a tempo usually around 130 BPM. UK garage encompassed subgenres such as speed garage and 2-step, and was then largely subsumed into other styles of music and production in the mid-2000s, including bassline, grime and dubstep.

Tourist – w/ Nathan Detroit & Ben Tactic – 21+
ALL TICKETS PURCHASED FOR LAST YEAR’S POSTPONED SHOW WILL BE HONORED FOR THIS NEW DATE.In 2015, William Phillips won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year, as a co-writer for Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me.’ “It’s an absurd compliment,” he says, “but my intention has only been to write music and work with great musicians.” Since then, Phillips has released three albums as Tourist — 2016’s ‘U’ and 2019’s ‘Wild’ and ‘Everyday’ — and several solo EPs. He’s also remixed Christine and the Queens, Churches, Deftones, Wolf Alice, Swedish House Mafia & The Weeknd and Sofia Kourtesis. In May 2022, his fourth album, ‘Inside Out,’ will be released on Monday Records. Growing up, Phillips fell in love with dance music: Goldie, Daft Punk and MJ Cole were favourites. In 1999, he started making beats on production software Reason; later, he taught himself piano by listening to his fathers pop records. It’s a process he put to the test in the Covid-19 pandemic. After hearing the devastating news that a friend had passed away, locked down with his phone, laptop and a keyboard, Phillips started writing ‘Inside Out.’ Though it came from grief, ‘Inside Out’ is tender and uplifting, with kaleidoscopic fragments of garage grooves and French filter house. After playing Coachella and Glastonbury, opening for Bonobo on tour and selling out two nights at Village Underground, Tourist is preparing a new live show that will make his dreams come true: to feel everything, with everyone, through dance music.
