When she was in high school, Kelly Lee Owens won two certificates: one was for music lover of the year, the other was for daydreamer of the year. “Even as a kid my mum said I would daydream a lot—she called it ‘Kelly’s World,’” the musician and DJ laughs. These prophecies provided the foundation for her career as a respected name in electronic music for ethereal work that uses the steely nature of the genre to articulate a connection with something greater. Her latest album Dreamstate is a monument to dreaming, and is the hotly anticipated debut release for The 1975’s George Daniel’s new electronic music imprint on Dirty Hit, dh2. Its pop melodies elevate techno beats to tell a story of heartbreak and subsequent recovery and growth through choosing to gaze higher. Alice strives to open portals to their past, present and future through their work, a nonlinear journey reflected upon their debut trilogy, consisting of EP 1: High Dragon And Universe, EP 2: Let’s Hope Heteros Fail, Learn, and Retire, and EP 3: Assembling symbols into my own poetry. Kevin Atwater: The Achilles Tour – w/ Aubory Bugg – EARLY SHOW! – All Ages
In early 2022, after his first big opportunity on Broadway was stripped due to the pandemic, Kevin Atwater resorted to writing songs in his Upper West Side apartment as a creative outlet. He started posting acoustic performances of his songs online and immediately began building a dedicated fanbase who gravitated towards his uniquely honest and intimate songwriting about his queer experience. That summer, a video of him playing his song “star tripping” went viral on TikTok. That video, coupled with a number of other equally successful videos that followed, led to a steady and explosive growth in audience, and garnered the attention and support of notable artists like Noah Kahan, MUNA, and Lizzy McAlpine. Kevin ultimately released his debut EP “Downers Grove” April 26, 2023, accumulating over 20 Million streams across platforms, and allowing him to hit the road supporting artists such as Jeremy Zucker, Leith Ross, and Searows. In 2024 a viral video of his follow up single “why did you invite me to your wedding?” (8M+ views) catapulted his fanbase to new heights, more than doubling his audience. Barrie w/ Charlie Havenick – 21+
“The work of an introvert with a kaleidoscopically vivid inner world.” – The New York Times “Barrie takes a real creative leap… just brilliant.” – NPR France-based musician and producer Barrie Lindsay, known simply as Barrie, has a passion for creating left-of-center pop music that reflects what The New York Times describes as “a kaleidoscopically vivid inner world.” She spends her days writing songs and tinkering in Logic, stockpiling her creations in a vast archive of folders and hard drives. When it came time to select the songs for her sophomore LP, Barbara, she narrowed it down to sixteen tracks. As the record came together, it became clear that there would be two separate projects. The first was Barbara, an emotionally charged collection of songs dealing with the loss of a parent, the love of a new partner, and finding one’s own identity that would go on to be deemed “one of the most complete pop full-lengths of 2022” (Billboard) and “an album that truly sounds like no other” (Consequence). Garnering praise from FADER, NPR, PAPER, and NYLON, Barbara saw Barrie’s artistic ambitions become emboldened. Barrie even reinvented her live show, adding group choreography that thrust her front and center during a run of headlining shows. It was her first time dancing in any organized fashion and put her in a vulnerable position, but it was a hit — she was invited to bring it on the road as an opener for both Alex G and Japanese Breakfast. The remaining five tracks from the Barbara sessions – more light-hearted and off-the-cuff – were compiled into a new project. An avid runner, Barrie named the EP 5K after the common foot race. Explains Barrie: “The music felt like a good arc for running. I want this music to be good company; steady and light enough. It’s literal and it’s metaphorical; this EP is meant to be your running partner for whatever form of 5K you’re doing.”
Twingle (music video release show!) w/ Hannah Glavor, Frecks – 21+
Twingle is the moniker of songstress and multi instrumentalists Anna Sabatino based out of Portland, OR. Raised in a one room cabin in the small town of Evergreen, Colorado she began writing songs at young age featuring guitar and banjo. Her roots are in oldtimey folk and bluegrass, but later went on to realms of Experimental/Psychedelic/French pop which all work to cultivate her sound and melodic patterns. Her songs live somewhere in the realm of familiar but entirely unexpected. Twingle’s debut album Future Caviar released on Little Cloud Records, is a can of worms focusing on the personal lives of female writers of the 19th and 20th century. The album was recorded to tape in the garage of Anna and Eric Sabatino ans produced by their dear friend Tommy Hollywood. Hannah Glavor is a Portland based artist with a cinematic range of indie rock revelry and raw folk spirit, clutched together by catching pop elements. She has been on the West Coast scene for the past decade sharing the stage and touring with a broad range of sound like Y La Bamba, Joseph and Sixpence None the Richer. With “Hold on, Hold tight” (Fall 2024) she has partnered with Portland producer Cameron Spies (Radiation City, Night Heron, The Shivas, Reptaliens) to co-produce a solidly indie rock anthemic masterpiece; each song standing confidently on its own. Blending lush soaring vocals over guitar solos, soulful bass runs, and tight drums; she pulls in sonic references from 90’s and early aughts legends like the Cranberries, the Strokes, and Radiohead as well as present day bands like Soccer Mommy, Julia Jacklin and TOPS for an altogether new but familiar collection of songs. Frecks is comprised of two twenty-something members named Jayden and Jeremy from Portland, Oregon. Jayden has been writing music since her early teen years and draws inspiration from all aspects of her life. Pulling from concepts of introspection and undying love, she aims to tug on heartstrings with dreamy guitar riffs and haunting melodies.

It’s an apt portrait: Miya is driven by instinct, drawn to the murk and muck of growth rather than stalled by its complexity. This brazen spirit is what led her to self-produce her latest full-length record, which is saturated with her catchy lyrical sensibility, astute musical craftsmanship, and signature vaulting, acrobatic voice Both critically acclaimed precursors – her debut Premonitions and sophomore LP Roach – have been lauded as coming-of-age rhapsodies. It is tempting to say the same of Erotica Veronica; after all, this new album shows us a woman running headlong into sexual exploration, often teetering on the adolescent edge of hedonism and fear. Unlike the feral freedom of youth, it is anchored by the wisdom and depth gained only through lived experience. Determined to make a straight-shooting indie rock record, Miya turned to guitar to write a majority of the album. She brought on Sam KS (Youth Lagoon, Angel Olsen) as co-producer and drummer, and recruited collaborators like Meg Duffy (Hand Habits, Perfume Genius) and Waylon Rector (Dominic Fike, Charli XCX). Leaning musicians’ personal style and skills, she went into the studio with the intention of capturing raw, live sound.
