Rose Entertainment presents: SKREAM – 21+

Advance tickets are now sold out. Limited tickets will be available night of show when we open at 9pm!As one of the UK’s best-loved selectors Skream has enjoyed the kind of consistency most DJs and producers can only dream of. His passion for collecting and playing music is unrelenting; disco, house, techno and everything in between… it runs deep into his core and he lives it every single day. Still only in his early thirties, Skream has achieved more in the last 15 years than most people do in a lifetime, yet his hunger and enthusiasm is akin to that of a man who is only just getting started… Skream’s history is well documented; a love affair with music that was triggered by his older brother, Hijak. DJing since he was 11. Making music at 15 and one of the key innovators at the birth of dubstep. All before he’d left his teens. With his place in UK music history already assured, he could have easily kicked back and taken advantage of his legendary status. Instead he opted to make the transition to disco, house and techno, leaving the dubstep world to do his own thing, in typical Skream style. Tracks like ‘Rollercoaster’ (ft. Sam Frank) and his remixes of Duke Dumont ‘Need You’ and ‘Infinity’ by Infinity Ink helped introduce the world to Skream’s shift in styles, while his mix output from 2013, cemented the change in direction seamlessly blending a variety of 4×4 styles across all of his tracks. Parallel to these pivotal releases he also showcased his eclectic tastes at his Skreamizm parties across the UK and the rest of the world, and so a new chapter began. In November 2013 he closed his infamous label Disfigured Dubz, unveiling a brand new platform called Of Unsound Mind six months later in May 2014. The label’s ethos is simple; to offer an outlet to Skream’s friends and to give support to the underdogs out there. Of Unsound Mind has clocked over 50 releases since it was launched, introducing artists like Motions, Billy Turner, Melody’s Enemy and Osolot to the world. Skream’s philanthropy is the mark of a man who has remained true to himself throughout his career, no bullshit, just a straight up honest, unfiltered attitude. On the production tip, he has never stopped pushing out music, utilising his own platform to deliver a slew of techno cuts, encompassing a range of textures; from the rugged to the emotive — including ‘Face Down In The Water,’ ‘Settled’ and the mighty ‘Chronicles’ EP with Billy Turner. Elsewhere, he has signed a variety of releases to labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Dennis Ferrer’s Objectivity and We Are The Brave which unleashed his killer track ‘Poison’ in 2018. He’s also produced a constant flow of remixes for major labels like Warner, FFRR and Sony, plus some of the most influential underground outlets, including Hot Creations, Watergate, VIVa, Snatch! and lots more. His endless creativity fueled by the dance floor — the place where his heart lies and where he feels most at home. For the last few years Skream has been showcasing the depth of his musical knowledge at his ‘Open To Close’ parties, playing all night long at venues around the world; every step of the way he played at sold out clubs that were packed out with people who were there just for him. Skream’s name is now so synonymous with delivering quality that ravers will happily pay for a ticket to see him play all night simply because they trust in his ability to entertain them for eight hours or more. For Skream, this is a dream come true, the epitome of success. To achieve that kind of trust from the dance floor is rare, and to maintain it is even more extraordinary, but Skream is no ordinary artist and his commitment to music, and his fans, is unparalleled.

Popular Music (ex-Parenthetical Girls) – w/ Twingle – Early Show! – 21+

Popular Music is proud to present Minor Works — a new album for the end of time — released October 13, 2023 via the group’s own Sanitarium Sound Services imprint. Written and produced by the Hollywood/Melbourne-based duo of Zac Pennington (former leader of American cult act Parenthetical Girls) and composer Prudence Rees-Lee, Minor Works marks the group’s debut collection of original material, and the first Pennington-penned release in a decade. An 11-part song cycle set in apocalyptic contemporary Los Angeles, the hyper-cinematic songs of Minor Works embrace Armageddon in its myriad forms: literal, personal, existential, eschatological. The album’s novelistic, semi-autobiographical narrative concerns a cast of exiles at the end of the world — a loose tapestry of doomsday cultists, missing persons, grieving mothers and other lost causes. This is the rapture without redemption; a palm-lined purgatory where “No prayers were ever answered/No untold loves confessed/No consciences forgiven/No consequences left.” Recording across three continents, Minor Works’ ambitious productions were pieced together in sessions between Los Angeles, Melbourne, Moscow and New York — with percussion programming by Deerhoof’s Greg Saunier, contributions from celebrated composer Jherek Bischoff (Angel Olsen, Xiu Xiu, Neil Gaiman), plus a 17-piece Russian chamber orchestra conducted over Zoom (no, really). “Twingle, an art rock ensemble that includes songwriter Anna Sabatino (vocals, guitar, piano), Alex Radakovich (drums), Eric Sabatino (bass), Jessica Sylvia (backup vocals, percussion) and Nathan Weber (guitar, piano, synth and backup vocals), enjoys surprising listeners with their unique sound, which blends the unexpected with the familiar. “The line between traditional and untraditional is where I like to live, experiment and push in my songwriting,” Anna Sabatino says. Currently, the band is looking forward to releasing their debut album, Future Caviar.” – Willamette Week, Best New Bands 2023

Cathedral Bells – w/ Foliage, Rew – 21+
Born in the depths of obscure analog gems, comes Orlando, Florida’s shoegaze-by-way-of-bedroom-pop Cathedral Bells formed by Matt Messore in late 2018.It’s still in the hazy dream pop realm, but with a harder-hitting, shoegazier edge at times too – Brooklyn Veganfeeling quite close to the wistful romanticism and pop allure of The Cure. Yet, Messore and company also shade the track with plenty of warm hues, layering in dreamy instrumentation and placing the track’s mood under the waning light of sunset. – Under The Radar A talent that can perfectly emulate your favorite DIY bedroom guitar-geared heroes from today and decades back, Foliage returns in 2024, sharpening his focus on styles sourced from a plethora of directions whether it’s 808 beat botanicals, ambient ethereal offerings, J Dilla-inspired grooves, chamber champagne pop or kinetic discotheque dalliances. Rew is a dedicated musician from the suburbs of Delaware, shapes his unique sound from shoegaze, emo, grunge, and bedroom pop influences. Overseeing every step of the process — from writing and recording to mixing and mastering — he creates authentic music that resonates with many. His lyrics, deeply personal yet universally relatable, strike a chord with listeners. Working from his Delaware base, Rew quietly enriches the alternative music scene with his heartfelt compositions. REWIN is his first LP to be released on Philadelphia’s Born Losers Records.
((( O ))) – w/ YAWA (Amenta Abioto) – 21+

We found a fairy who makes music in a treehouse. Whose music gear is solar-powered and serves as ‘a direct gift from the sun, an opportunity to create.’ Her art creates a bridge for the modern world to return to nature, to be swept away with her story and sounds she has collected throughout her journey. ((( O ))) is working with the cycles of our natural world, releasing audio/visual art pieces of her universe through what she calls “Moondrops” every full moon. They are later compiled into albums every year called “Sundrops.” She uses meditation to travel to her heart space, where she finds light and translates into sound. She has chosen to follow her inner guidance to complete 12 albums for the next 12 years, giving people the trust and curiosity to stay with her on her musical journey. “R&B rhythms interacting with her elastic vocals, alongside lyrical references to following the stars.” – Crack magazine, 2019 “((( O ))) has chosen a name that’s unpronounceable on purpose. “I don’t resonate with my [given] name,” the emerging experimental R&B auteur explains, speaking over a crackly line from the Philippine jungle. “I’m super energy-based, so the best representation of who I am is without words.” “ – Crack Magazine, 2019With local support from YAWA aka Amenta Abioto!
