Melt
EARLY SHOW Melt with special guest MARIS This event is All Ages ABOUT MELT: Pulsing with the energy of their hometown New York City, ‘If There’s a Heaven’ (out 9/13/24) is the debut album from indie band Melt. The band formed in 2017 and cut their teeth touring on the heels of their viral single “Sour Candy” over weekends in college. Called “one groovy superorganism” by NPR, they are known for their ecstatic live set. In 2021, Melt released their ‘West Side Highway’ EP and toured nationally, further developing their intuitive connection as players as well as cementing their status as a band to watch. ‘If There’s a Heaven’ presents Melt simultaneously at their most airtight and freewheeling – evoking the raw, communal spirit of Fleetwood Mac as well as the modern, danceable hooks of MUNA. Recorded live to tape with producer Sam Evian (Big Thief), the eleven tracks span existential, feel-good pop (“Plant the Garden”), classic love ballads (“Your Name”) and lush, soulful rockers (“Heaven”). Melt’s debut is a joyous, timeless soundtrack for coming of age and finding oneself and one’s community. As emotionally stirring as they are groovy, Melt will move listeners in every sense of the word. ABOUT MARIS: In 2023, MARIS released a celestial six-song EP, Gravity, and accompanying short film, Gravity: The EP: the Movie (Black House, Best Friends Music), followed by new singles, “Voicemail”, “Hot Guitar Player”, and “GOING YET!.” She supported the releases throughout the solar system, opening for acts including Anna Of The North and The Wrecks. She performed at Boston Calling and Missoula Pride this summer. ABOUT MARIS: MARIS hitched a ride on a comet to Los Angeles in 2021, and decided to stay and become a pop music sensation. Her mission on this planet is to connect with listeners through her candid experiences as a queer and emotionally vulnerable songwriter with an ‘80s-inflected pop universe and beats you can’t help but dance along to. Fans can catch MARIS Earth-side this fall opening for Melt on their North American tour. Best experienced live, MARIS and her music have a riveting aura that ensures all in attendance are in a safe place to be their happiest, truest, and most out-of-this-world selves. Mirah – w/ Anna Diem – EARLY ALL AGES SHOW!
Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn lives in Brooklyn, New York, where she works as a song writer, performer, producer and mom. In a constant dedication to expanding her tender repertoire of American folk songs into a larger context, her recordings seek to find the magical amity between explorative percussion, orchestral sounds and elements of rock and popular music. Since starting out in the late 1990’s, she has released over a dozen solo and collaborative recordings on various independent labels including K Records, Kill Rock Stars, Absolute Magnitude Recordings, Double Double Whammy and 7e.p., and toured solo and with countless iterations of her own band in concert halls, music clubs and punk basements all across North America, Japan and Europe. Mirah has dedicated her creative process to investigating the complicated intersections within communities large and small, believing that with deeper understanding of each other, the seeds of a more generous and less violent world are planted. Anna Diem is a queer, Portland OR based, self-produced alt-folk artist known for her honesty and vulnerability. Her lyrics wrap you up in a story and her calming and emotive delivery pulls you in even closer. Heavily influenced by singer-songwriters of the 60’s, Diem’s songs bring to mind artists like Neil Young, Paul Simon and James Taylor.

Twingle (album release show!) w/ The Soft Colors, DMN – 21+
Twingle is the moniker of songstress and multi instrumentalists Anna Sabatino based out of Portland, OR. Raised in a one room cabin in the small town of Evergreen, Colorado she began writing songs at young age featuring guitar and banjo. Her roots are in oldtimey folk and bluegrass, but later went on to realms of Experimental/Psychedelic/French pop which all work to cultivate her sound and melodic patterns. Her songs live somewhere in the realm of familiar but entirely unexpected. Twingle’s debut album Future Caviar coming out August 18th 2024, is a can of worms focusing on the personal lives of female writers of the 19th and 20th century. The album was recorded to tape in the garage of Anna and Eric Sabatino. Produced by their dear friend Tommy Hollywood. The Soft Colors is a Portland rock band led by Nate Wey and featuring Erik Wisloff-Menteer (former Blitzen Trapper), Rhea Morais (The Black Doors, DJ Queen Amygdala), Leah Heuser, and Kyle Cregan (Smile Pile, James Jones and the Chupacabras). The debut album Still Adventures (by Nate Wey and The Soft Colors), captures the daze and confusion of life during societal traumas (covid, climate change, break ups) – with unexpected rays of sunlight. Musically, the album lives somewhere between David Lynch and PJ Harvey, Velvet Underground and NIN. A prolific creative, Wey’s recent output includes a self-released solo album recorded during the early stages of the pandemic, an ambient piece that plays on loop at The Fair Haired Dumbbell lobby, and a music video in rotation at Hollywood Theater’s PDX Mini-plex (the only airport cinema in the country). His music has recently been licensed to Apple TV, including the final track on Still Adventures. They are currently recording a follow up E.P., tracking live in Sauvie’s Island. DMN (Default Mode Network) creates groove-forward, melody-driven dance music that bridges the gap between 80s radio-friendly new wave and contemporary leftfield pop.
