Slow Magic – w/ Beacon Bloom, the.halflife – 21+
SLOW MAGIC Darkness and light, aggression and gentleness, ecstasy and reflection: these dualities define Slow Magic’s third and strongest project to date, Float. An expansive and inventive compendium of modern electronic pop, the enigmatic producer’s latest spans a multitude of genres and moods resulting in a listening experience that makes for its own journey. Written and recorded over the past two years, work on Float commenced shortly after touring behind 2014’s dreamy How to Run Away, the record’s jagged and surprising new sounds taking shape after a leisurely trip to Iceland in order to “try to get away” from things. A subsequent trip to Japan—wherein Slow Magic performed in the country for the first time—further solidified what would go into the album’s sonic and visual motifs. Float marks a number of “firsts” for Slow Magic: it’s the first time the producer’s worked with live drums, as well as the first time they’ve brought guest vocalists into the Slow Magic world, from MNDR and Swedish electro-rockers Kate Boy to like-minded producer Tropics and Antlers frontman Peter Silberman. But it’s a testament to Slow Magic’s unique creative approach that these different voices coalesce on an album that presents a uniform vision even as it embraces exuberant creativity. Music has always provided a retreat for anyone looking to lose themselves in pure sound, and Float is a trip that no one will regret taking. Next, Slow Magic is planning to release his 5th debut album later this summer of 2023. BEACON BLOOM Bursting onto the melodic house scene with releases on some of the most influential imprints, New Zealand’s rapidly rising electronic act Beacon Bloom have released their stunning productions on ZeroThree, Colorized, Stil vor Talent and Purified Records. Uplifting and deeply danceable, Beacon Bloom’s trademark ethereal vocals sit above soaring synth lines and undeniable low-end groove. Glitterfox is a Portland, OR-based indie folk band lead by married couple Solange Igoa and Andrea Walker with Eric Stalker and Blaine Heinonen on bass and drums. Since being named one of Portland’s “Best New Bands” by the Willamette Week in 2022, coming away from Oregon Country Fair 2022 one of the most buzzed-about breakout acts, and winning the 2023 High Sierra Music Festival Band Competition, Glitterfox has worked relentlessly to electrify their live show while honing in on the inimitable “west coast indie meets Southern Americana songwriting” style that defines Glitterfox song craft. Born in Berlin, Germany and based in in Portland, Oregon, Presidio builds their sound around ethereal vocal harmonies, explosive dynamics, and hypnotic guitar arrangements. Their first EP, Telepathy, debuted in mid 2020 during the pandemic and garnered over 150,000 streams on Spotify. Since their debut dropped during lockdown, Presidio began playing virtual benefit concerts for organizations based all over the globe including Sofar Sounds, Sound Mind, Stella Artois, Deloitte, Verizon and many others. Now, they’re unleashing their new, electrified live set any and everywhere they can. The band is currently in the midst of recording their second EP, to be released in 2023.

Stavroz: Kick Up The Dust Tour – w/ Kennebec -21+
Hailing from the land of compromise in the heart of Europe, the four friends of Stavroz found each other in the east of Flanders. In its inception, IJsbrand De Wilde & Gert Beazar focussed mainly on playing DJ sets and creating music in which they loved colliding worlds. Only a few years later they hooked up with Maxim Helincks & Pieter De Meester to expand their DJ activities to a performing band and continued to try and find an unbeaten path in electronic music. This culminated in their delicately acoustic, organic and cinematic approach to electronic music. As a result they were awarded second place for “best producer” and “best breakthrough artist” in national awards for Belgium’s electronic music scene. In the years that followed, the four kept expanding their catalogue and continued to develop that uniquely own style. Their EP “The Ginning” resulted in an early breakthrough for the four-some. It reached gold status in France, dominated the nr. 1 spot on the Hype Machine and was chosen as vinyl of the month by Germany’s “Faze Magazine,” mainly thanks to the B-side “The Finishing.” In order to keep freedom in their music production and to be able to support other artists with a like minded vision, they started their record label “Moodfamily.” It was on this label that their second hit single “Gold Town” was released. It kept the nr. 1 spot on Beatport’s “Electronic Top 100” for several months and was picked up by Rockstar Entertainment and added to GTA 5’s (already) excellent in-game music. Although Stavroz is now 11 years old, many of their songs are still relevant and are quietly nudging towards timelessness. Over half million monthly listeners and over 100.000 followers on Spotify alone will concur. Their intimate live performance grew more dramatic and their unique dj sets spread like wildfire as they started frequenting many international stages. Coachella (US), Fusion Festival (DE), Wonderfruit (THA), Pukkelpop (BE), Strawberry Fields (AUS), Tropico (MX), Three Points Festival (FL, USA) all fell victim to Stavroz’s unusual dramatic, melancholic yet determined approach. The band was quickly invited by the acclaimed Youtube channel “Cercle” to perform a streaming concert at Fort SaintEynard in France where once again, they managed to create a wholesome, comforting soundtrack for a place, which no words can describe. 2022 marks another landmark in Stavroz’s history as they release their debut album “Mindibu.”with local support from Kennebec!
Spend the Night and Holocene Present: Jacques Greene & Jessy Lanza – w/ Ben Tactic and Nathan Detroit – 21+
Jacques Greene is the artist name of Philippe Aubin-Dionne, the Montreal-born and raised DJ and producer – one of dance music’s most captivating and enigmatic talents. The house and RnB producer has consistently given the musical landscape progressively deeper ideas of what house music can mean throughout the last decade. Producing for vocalists Katy B, Tinashe and How To Dress Well and remixing Radiohead, Flume, Rhye and MorMor, Jacques Greene has expanded his collaborations to include fashion with Givenchy and cult designer Rad Hourani and art institutions including London’s Tate Modern. Jacques Greene’s sparkling original productions include the genre defining ‘Another Girl’, a house anthem with future RnB leanings that would go on to inspire countless imitations. This was followed by a series of acclaimed EP releases on LuckyMe including ’On Your Side’, ‘Phantom Vibrate’ and ‘After Life After Party’ that saw Greene’s world tour cross US, CA, UK, EU and Asia as well as nominations for 3 Juno awards. He has released two albums, Feel Infinite (2017) and Dawn Chorus (2019). Jessy Lanza is a producer, vocalist and DJ from Hamilton, Canada. She has released three studio albums; Pull My Hair Back, Oh No and All the Time on London’s Hyperdub label . Her records have been met with near universal praise and featured in The Guardian, New York Times, Pitchfork and more. Jessy has toured across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia and performed on the BBC (where she had a year long residency show on Radio 1), KCRW, arte.tv in Europe and Channel 4 in the UK. Jessy has crafted a new and vibrant pop aesthetic that is both universal, energetic, yet personal and introspective. The material exists on a distinct polarity of big and small, global and local; and clarifies a modern and crucial voice in pop music.
