Ana Roxanne, Rachika Nayar – Early show! – 21+

Ana Roxanne is a New York based musician working at the interzone of electric meditation, dream pop, and ambient songcraft. Her self-titled EP was later reissued by Leaving Records before signing with Kranky for her official full-length debut, 2020’s Because Of A Flower. Her inspirations span the secular (R&B divas of 1980’s and 90’s) and the spiritual (Catholic choral traditions in which she was raised), synthesized into a uniquely intuitive sonic language, equal parts atmospheric and ancient, healing and hermetic.Rachika Nayar is a Brooklyn-based musician. On her debut, Our Hands Against the Dusk, Nayar used her guitar as the primary source for sound design, mutating the instrument beyond recognition through layers of digital processing. Soon after, the album’s companion EP, fragments, on RVNG Intl’s imprint Commend, demonstrated the types of raw guitar-playing that would be transfigured into those grander compositions—miniature genre sketches that touched upon everything from post-rock to Midwestern emo. Nayar’s second full-length, Heaven Come Crashing, takes a left-turn into electronic maximalism. Retaining her mangled guitar stylings, she expands the tonal palette by looking not so much to the fretboard, as to the dance floor and the silver screen. With its M1 piano stabs, supersaws, and glimpses of Amen breaks, the album charts a luminescent space between 5 a.m. warehouse raves and the urban freeways of its cover image—romantic, nocturnal, and reckless in its velocity and emotional abandon.

More details at holocene.org/vaccine With an ever-growing and enthusiastic fan base, Portland pop-soul singer-songwriter Laryssa Birdseye is best known for her powerful, scathing break-up songs. Her electric live shows feature ballads and pop anthems that effortlessly tap into the universal psyche of women around the world who have experienced both heights and pitfalls in the rocky battlefield of love.Rainezra is a multi-genre singer/songwriter, performer, & producer currently residing in Portland, Oregon. She plays guitar, piano, & beat boxes. Music is in her blood. She works as a vocal coach/music instructor & recorded her first album entirely by herself when she was in the 6th grade. Rain has performed all over the west coast & even curates events in the Pacific Northwest area. Main influences are r&b & pop, but her sound is all over the board. Rain released her self produced EP, “Possibilities” in 2019 while studying at Portland Community College earning her Certificate in Music and Sonic Arts. In 2022, she released her first full length album entitled, “Responsibilities.” Both projects are available on all streaming platforms now!  Alana Rich is a genre-fluid pop artist. Combining sounds and influences from across the decades with her abstract view on the world, her songs leave the listener with a mystifying energy. Though Rich’s sound is undoubtedly danceable, her emphasis on profound lyricism is what sets her apart from most modern pop artists. Rich’s lyrically enigmatic approach combined with dynamic top-lines will stick with you, indefinitely. Rich, a native of the Pacific Northwest, began her career at the age of 14, performing acoustic music and releasing cover songs on YouTube. She quickly amassed over 1 million views and has developed her pop-rooted sound over the years. She has performed at Portland Fashion Week, the Portland Fashion & Style Awards at the Portland Art Museum, Nylon Magazine event, Seattle’s Benaroya Hall, amongst other venues. Rich has also shared the stage with notable artists across genres, including Jojo, Michelle Branch, Hot Chelle Rae, Arnel Pineda of Journey, and Richard Marx, to name a few.
