Salvatore Manalo’s Farewell Show w/Laryssa Birdseye, Rachel Wong – 21+

After years of performing, recording, and growing his career in Portland, Salvatore Manalo now closes this chapter to embark on a new journey—pursuing music in a new city with fresh inspiration, new collaborations, and a continued commitment to creating music that moves both the heart and the feet. Join him in his farewell show with Hiroki, started with Matt Brewster alongside the city’s grooviest musicians.      Salvatore Manalo:   Salvatore Manalo is a Portland-based musician whose soulful voice, skillful guitar work, and heartfelt songwriting have earned him a devoted following both online and in the local scene. Renowned for reimagining popular hits through an R&B lens and creating original songs that fuse timeless groove with modern flair, Salvatore has carved out a distinctive place in the soul and R&B world. Whether fronting his solo project, Hiroki, or lending his talents to countless bands, his passion and musicianship always take center stage. Laryssa Birdseye:  Laryssa Birdseye is an upcoming electro Pop singer based out of Portland, Oregon. For fans of the mainstream stylings of Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, or Taylor Swift, and the more lyrical sensibility of Phoebe Bridgers, Laryssa has solidified herself as one of the premiere powerhouse vocalists and burgeoning Pop stars of the Pacific Northwest.   Rachel Wong: Rachel Wong is a queer pop R&B artist from Portland, Oregon, blending 2000s R&B nostalgia with modern, moody pop. Named one of Willamette Week’s Best New Bands of 2025, she’s performed the National Anthem for crowds of 20,000+ at Portland Trail Blazers, Portland Timbers, and Portland Thorns FC games. Her music has received radio play across the UK, Singapore, and the Bay Area — and you just might hear her songs in Love Island. She’s releasing new music every month through 2025.

SEGO, Social Cinema – 21+

“Art-Punk by non-punk non-artists”—Utah bred and LA based, Sego first caught the attention of LA tastemakers with their penchant for avant-garde grooves helming indie-pop hooks. Since its genesis, Sego’s prolific output and experimental live shows have garnered all the accolades modern indie bands dream of—critical praise fromNPR,European tours, festival spots at Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits, and a national (Xfinity) commercial airing on the Olympics and theSuper Bowl.Living and recording together out of their downtown LA warehouse, Sego(Spencer,Thomas, Derv, and Kathleen) has just started releasing tunes from their3rd forthcoming full-length album. This offering expands upon their pop sensibilities and thematic musings while boasting all the resistance and intelligence that makes them the most compelling art-punks in the scene.   Social Cinema is a new band with over a decade of history. More accurately, Social Cinema is the latest chapter in a decade-plus friendship and artistic journey evolving alongside the people behind the music.  When three Wichita friends, Austin Engler and brothers Griffin and Logan Bush formed Kill Vargas in 2013 as young teenagers, they couldn’t have guessed that they’d all be still performing together a decade later. Along the way, the trio would cross paths with Nebraskan band, Death Cow, featuring Mari Crisler and Reed Tiwald. Between sharing bills and sleeping on each other’s couches after shows while on the Midwest DIY scene grind, the three and two would become inseparably close, and eventually join forces as five in 2021, under the new name Social Cinema.  Whether it’s due to their years as touring musicians, gradually honed songwriting and stylistic ambitions from scrappy, garage-y roots, or some combination of all of the above, Social Cinema makes an immediate impression with seasoned beyond their years songwriting chops and a road-hardened work ethic and resolve to match. Since adopting the Social Cinema banner in 2021, the alternative/indie rock quintet has issued four EPs — 2022’s Causing Scenes and Repeat, Get Along, and Stay Numb in 2023 — and a number of singles highlighting the outfit’s multifaceted songcraft prowess, and has shared bills with the likes of Metric, Saint Motel, Slothrust, The Velveteers, Spiritual Cramp, Bad Bad Hats, Sego, THICK, PUP, The Macks, and more.  After releasing Stay Numb in Spring 2023, Social Cinema dropped its compilation album which is the sum of all three EP’s that they released that year, along with two new songs.Titled It’s Nice to Meet You: Singles Collection, the ten-track release continues Social Cinema’s adoption of professional studio polish, this time bringing that refinement to the direct, galvanizing punch of the band’s garage rock roots. Spanning territories that range from anthemic power-pop on the opener and title track, “When Is It Ever That Easy?,” to the groovy and grittiness of “Healer,” this latest chapter in Social Cinema’s journey is a celebration of the sounds and scenes that got each of its five members to where they are today. Whereas all of their EP’s released in 2023 showcased the quintet’s ambitions to bring its sound to new, more stylistically dynamic and fresh territories, It’s Nice to Meet You is a loud and proud assertion of the band’s DIY ethos and the wallop of its no-frills rock roots not only intact, but stronger than ever.  New Music from Social Cinema will be out to the world in the first half of 2025.

END OF SUMMER PARTY! ft: Tenants, Bendre the Giant, Trauma Club – 21+

TENANTS: Bringing some ‘Nighttime Sunshine’ to the cloudy town of Portland, Oregon, Tenants is a three-piece act of non-homeowners. The debut full length album, ‘Nighttime Sunshine,’ is a true feat of collaboration, and manages to embody the three distinct musical voices of each member. At the heart of the record, lies a bold fusion of genres – from the infectious rhythms of disco, the emotive melodies of synth-pop, to the smooth sounds of yacht rock, and the raw energy of alt rock. Tenants worked alongside Portland producer Cameron Spies (Radiation City, Night Heron, Whimz) and together they merged many diverse influences and aesthetics into a cohesive sound that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new.  BENDRE THE GIANT:From Portland, Oregon, BendreTheGiant is the Neo-Soul Power Pop group led by Ben Estrada. Anna of the North is that dreamy voice behind viral hits like “Lovers” and “Dream Girl” — and yes, that’s her alongside Tyler, The Creator, Frank Ocean and Kali Uchis on Flower Boy. With her signature blend of vulnerable lyrics, floaty synths, and icy Scandi vibes, Anna’s been quietly shaping the global pop scene for a minute. Now? She’s having a full-circle moment. “Lovers” has blown up all over TikTok, streaming over 600k streams daily, pushing her to 5M+ monthly listeners and unlocking a whole new wave of fans. Her live shows? Emotional, raw, and lowkey euphoric.
And the best part — Anna’s just getting started again. She’s dropping the first single from her upcoming album later this year, marking a bold new chapter in her sound. Stay tuned.

Acoustic Minds (Album Release Show!), Camp Crush, Shy Honey – 21+

Acoustic Minds:Moody, bass-driven soul/pop with an undeniable edge. Portland natives Jenni and Amanda Price—twin sisters with an unbreakable musical bond—create a sound that’s equal parts timeless and distinctly their own. From the moment they open their mouths, you’re hooked. Their vocals are rich and soaring, effortlessly blending harmonies that feel both raw and ethereal. With songwriting that taps into the deepest parts of the human experience, their music resonates long after the last note. Joined by longtime collaborators Aaron Altemose and Josh Lorenzen, the band has spent over 15 years fine-tuning their signature sound—one that blends elements of soul, pop, rock, and edm into something that’s unpredictable yet undeniable. The production is layered with rich textures and sonic surprises that keep you coming back for more. Their music is more than just melodies—it’s an emotional journey. Each track is heart-wrenching and soul-stirring, urging you to feel, to think, and to act. It’s the kind of music that doesn’t just soundtrack your life—it challenges it. With a powerful presence and a sound that defies easy categorization, Jenni, Amanda, Aaron, and Josh have crafted a collection of songs that are impossible to ignore. www.theammusic.com — Shy Honey is an electro pop band out of Portland, OR formed by lead singer and local Portland songwriter, Anna Gilbert. Shy Honey’s music features epic, reverberant guitars and moody keys with a “prom night” desperation. The music is upbeat, dark and dance worthy with a subtle nod to the sounds that defined music of the 80s and 90s. Gilbert’s honey-dripped vocals float over synthy pop keys and catchy guitar riffs. Both modern and retro, catchy and experimental, Shy Honey is putting a spin on electro pop in a fresh way. The band played their debut show at Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, OR and two days later, they were asked to open for a People’s Choice Award nominated podcast, “Off the Vine” hosted by Kaitlyn Bristowe (former Bachelorette) at a sold out Aladdin Theater. Their singles can be heard on TV shows on CBS and AppleTV – as well as local Portland radio stations. — Camp Crush is a synth-pop duo based in Portland, OR, one that pays homage to both nostalgic New Wave and current day synth infused pop. Formed in 2017 by singer/songwriter/ keyboardist Jen Deale and drummer Chris Spicer, the husband-and-wife band launched onto the northwest music scene with their vocal-forward synth-rich pop tunes and dynamic live performance. Happy Mag describes them best: “The duo glide through a cinematic brand of indie-pop that is completely endearing and damn-near mesmerizing.”

Marielle Kraft w/LEW – Early Show – All Ages!

When you hear Marielle Kraft’s music or experience her candid live shows, you feel as though you already know her. The indie pop singer/songwriter, now based in Nashville, displays craftsmanship beyond her years, following suit to artists like Colbie Caillat, Maisie Peters, and Taylor Swift. Self-taught, the Rhode Island native began playing guitar at 16 and soon writing songs that strike chords with listeners everywhere. Her gift for storytelling is evident through her use of salient detail, raw emotion, and poignant word choice to describe moments “exactly as they feel.” In spring 2018, she was crowned Grand Champion of the Mid-Atlantic Singer-Songwriter Competition, and the following June she delivered a Tedx Talk at Firefly 2018, discussing the importance of honesty rooted in her songwriting process. Marielle Kraft’s debut studio EP, “The Deep End” landed on July 12th, 2019, featuring fan-favorite tracks like “Toothbrush” and “Better Without You”. Kraft’s first effort is, as described by The Music Mermaid, “song after song of mini pop addictions.” In February 2020, Kraft co-released an “anthemic” and “heart-filled” single with Joshua Howard entitled “In It Together”, which quickly gained support across platforms as an anthem of connection amidst a chapter of isolation during quarantine.  Marielle Kraft regularly plays at venues across the United States, sharing stages with names like Mt. Joy, GIRLI, and Amber Liu. She presents her live shows as a seamless narrative: evocative yet encouraging, deeply reflective yet refreshing. The raw authenticity with which Marielle invites listeners into her story cultivates a relationship with them beyond the song, as she is known to “bring together a room full of strangers.” Her “winning personality,” “genuine connection”,” and “gift for story telling” on stage have fueled the ever-growing crowds at each of her shows. In 2021, Marielle Kraft released 4 singles, each of which found major traction on TikTok before becoming studio produced releases. “Everyone But Me” (February 19th), “We Were Never Friends” (March 24th), and “Second Coffee” (July 19th) feature a more developed sound than seen from Marielle before, while her collaboration with Charlie Brennan called “Sidelines” (October 29th) landed on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds” and Apple Music’s “Breaking Singer/Songwriter” playlists. Kraft’s sophomore EP “Heartspace” released on September 30th, 2022 followed by two powerhouse pop singles “Owe My Ex” and “10x Better,” which fueled a nearly sold-out headlining tour across the United States. October 27th, 2023 brought the latest offering from Kraft—an evolved EP of 4 songs, tied together as the concept project called “GOOD.” Co-produced with Nashville’s Quinn Redmond [Stephen Day, Emma Klein], GOOD marks an exciting new chapter for Kraft as she stretches her reach to opposite coasts and wider corners of the internet. Since leaving her full-time teaching career to pursue a life committed to creating music, Marielle Kraft has spent the last two years crafting a debut album that has promise to cement the burgeoning artist as a mainstay in the indie pop scene, setting her on pace for an even bigger 2025.

Quannnic w/ kmoe. – Early Show – All Ages!

quannnic is a self-produced singer-songwriter from Florida. After playing hundreds of shows with friends growing up, they then created their own genre-bending and noisy signature style of homespun indie rock. Quannnic’s debut LP “Kenopsia” was released through their friend’s DistroKid account and Bandcamp, and became a breakout moment for the 19-year-old, who has since accumulated 157 million+ streams across their catalog. Over a year and a half after its relatively quiet release, the third single “life imitates life” hit #9 on Spotify’s Viral 50 – US and landed on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart.   The same week that they hit their Billboard peak, Quannnic released their sophomore studio LP “Stepdream” self-engineered alongside Photographic Memory and Chris Gehringer. The single “South” featured a collaboration with Jeff Schroeder of Smashing Pumpkins, and the campaign coincided with their first tour: a co-headline run with label-mate Jane Remover. The success of both LPs led to festival appearances at Lollapalooza, Sick New World, and two tours as direct support for Shoegaze pioneers Slowdive. With their sonically darkest album “Warbrained” and first headlining North American tour upcoming, quannnic is gearing up for their most ambitious run so far.
