Formed in the autumn of 2020 in Portland, Oregon by guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Ryan Tippmann and vocalist Tristina Bumgarner, Grimiss combines intricate sonic atmospheres with driving rhythms, searing guitars and sultry yet powerful vocals to create music that is both complex and immersive. Drawing from a wide array of genres and influences both classic and modern, they have managed to craft a unique sound that is distinctly their own, straying from conventional song structures and cliches yet, still maintaining a sense of familiarity and accessibility.Bringing a high energy live experience featuring the duo backed by a drum machine, Grimiss has been hard at work making waves across the local Portland music scene and west coast with hopes to bring their music to a national audience in the near future. — Vonnie Kyle is a Portland-based rock musician known for her powerful voice and electrifying performances. She has become a standout in the local music scene with her bold, unapologetic sound and emotional storytelling, creating a unique blend of hard-hitting rock and introspective lyrics.
